Just added this Vanbo/CMC black MB 500K with white interior that was the last piece to find in my 1/24 CMC collection, now my collection is complete with every piece CMC made in 1/24. Sorry for bragging, it was > 10 year effort. And this one is very rare, I've seen it once or twice for sale though it stayed on eBay for months (the seller was slowly dropping the price until I decided "that's enough, this model deserves more") . It doesn't have the original packaging but that's fine.
On the sad side, I am slowly loosing my black/silver CMC Horch to diecast rot...
Here he is the CMC History Poster from 2018, the 1/24 collection is at the bottom.
wow what a collecting achievement Chav, well done sir! I have 11 out of the 30, with at least one color sample of most of them except the Porsche Spider and the 1957 Mercedes Benz 300 SLS Spezialversion. My favorites are of course 2 I dont have. Yours, the yellow and blue MB 540K, and the white Mercedes Benz Type 300d Cabriolet D 1958-1962. I didnt realise there were 2 lighter colored Wanderers. I have the 'off white' version while the other appears to be a pure white?

Chav, I don't call it bragging at all. You're proud of completing a targeted endeavor, and you should boast to clouds achieving it. CONGRATULATIONS!Â
And thanks for sharing your news with us! We are all 1:24 scale model collectors, and all of our shared collections is a common bond. So yes, BE PROUD!

The CMC's are technically 29 or 31 depending how accurate one wants to be. One the picture above 4 Black Prince MB's are shown. I believe #1 is the original issue with dark green seat, #2-3-4 are the reissue with white or red or dark green seat. So technically there are 2 issues with dark green seat, but they are the same model. On the other hand there are 2 versions of the light blue and white close top 540K, one with fixed fabric top and one with plastic removable top. While I have the 2 versions of the MB540K blue/white, I am not sure what version of the black prince I have, I believe I have one of each of the 2 green seat issues ... but not sure how to tell them apart besides that they came in different boxes.
There are also 4 Vanbo Special roadsters (yellow, red, black, off-white), which if added to the number raises it to 33-35 depending how you count. The red Vanbo and the red CMC are identical, I am not sure how to tell them apart either, they also came in very different boxes.
The other color Wanderer is actually light gray and black, it is a LE 1000 and also very hard to find. LE of 1000 is not small at all, why it shows for sale so seldom - I have no clue. I have seen 2 for sale, mine was broken and I repaired it, the second one was perfect but I missed it.

thanks for the detailed response Chav, appreciated. I've never seen a light grey Wanderer version and I check CMCs in Ebay every 4 or 5 days. The original dark green Black Prince was my first CMC from about 20 years ago and I was blown away with the detail.

Congratulations in completing your CMC collection. I have a few, including the yellow/blue Benz. I guess I didn't realize it was rare. I received it years ago from David Sinclair. I had ordered the red/black version, which he was out of, and offered to send this one instead. I can remember at the time being disappointed about getting it as I really wanted the red/black one, which I never did get.
@Chav. Great effort, well done 💪. I have 14 cmc's right now. I love them all. And I am still amazed by the fuel valve (is that the right word ?) of the 300d's. Is there any other 1/24 scale model where they can be opened ?
But I still don't get the diferences in the 2 green and 2 maroon Horch types. There are jubilee versions or so ?

On the fuel filler door, there are many 1/24th models that have the opening feature. DM was one that made use of it early on with a vast array of car models.
