Most of my car room showcases/display cases are up and nearly full! Really, really pleased how its all turned out. I’ve had both wall display cases and showcases custom made to fit the room space, and model number requirements. The wall cases were made by a local plastics fabricator and hung/attached by a professional builder. The floor showcases made by a local company that targets the collector market along with retail etc. Everything is pretty much full so I will order another, albeit smaller showcase, as I always intend to add to my collection. I’ll just show the overall setting for now then add pics of individual shelves and groupings over time. Its just so good to have everything out on display. I started the collection in 1987 when FM first started selling here in Australia, bought a lot of their models until early 2000s when I found Roy Rauchs site, then ebay, then DMs great customer service and fair international shipping prices. So here we go!
a fantastical array !!!! the floor case looks like the full stocking of a high power hobby shop designed to irresistibly separate buyers from their pesos.......the walls shelves are breathtaking in their fluidity and powerfully "seamless" display capabilities

And JB wins the Catitzer award for Best diecast collection 3-line essay!
thanks folks, I also foolishly overlooked mentioning that I found this site in the early 2000s, and a number of the cars you see were bought off our auction site. And I added 2 more today! This Lincoln I've been after for ages. Its a beautiful mint example I and was able to secure it from Rich Fabers ebay site kirby cars. Rich is an occasional poster here, a great seller, honest and professional with excellent sales presentations. The other I've posted in Lus unique models page, check it out.
I was going to email you to let you know I'd seen your pics of the new displays, and they look great, but I just had to respond here, in order to acknowledge your kind words! Thanks so much! I'm really pleased the Lincoln arrived safely! Your pictures really show off that gorgeous Wisteria purple! Every time I see pictures of it, I love it even more!
Again, many thanks for the nice thoughts, and the plug for my eBay models (if anyone is curious, my eBay Store is actually Kirbycars, which is one word).
I hope to be posting stuff here again soon. Life has been pretty complicated lately, but hopefully, things will settle down soon.
thank you again gentlemen for your great comments, really appreciated.
Jack D the front door is hinged at the top and closes with clips either side at the bottom. The plastics people also made the covers shown for my Automodellos and D4C club cars as I prefer to keep them on their stands. To hang them a top local builder who we've used for house repairs firstly attached the battens screwing through the plaster and into the building timber struts. I should have painted the battens but I was in too anxious to get everything up. The cases have 2 keyholes at the top and one at the bottom so they were then screwed onto the battens. Should the need ever arise they can be taken down and removed quite easily.

thanks for the additional deets Geoff.....what is the recommended cleaning solution?
If you will please indulge me I'd like to add pics of the individual cases and some shelves to show how I've grouped everything.
Firstly Cadillacs and Packards are together here. DMs black 41 Caddy is in Mats repairs shop. The WCPD 2003 concept doesn't quite fit so I'll move that out for the 41. Also below the case you can see Esvals beautiful 1928 Cadillac Town Car. And I am using Automodellos 68 as a decorator item in the living room.

I use methylated spirits for all plastic/acrylic Jack.
