@georgeschire Yes, I for one am thoroughly enjoying this post, let's keep it going.💯
@geoff-jowett Thanks my friend. I'll work on getting those done.👍
LOVE this thread!
Here is a photo of my unfinished display wall from a few years back. I had a total of 6 cases, 4 of which are shown here. Before I could get my personal collection into all 6 cases, I had to start using them for storage of inventory when I was still running my store from home. Once I moved my business to an outside location, I got so busy with it that I never did take the time to put the doors back on the cases, finish the lighting, and restock them with MY stuff. My beautiful collection is still in banker boxes!
My concept was to use IKEA PAX wardrobes as a more budget-friendly alternative to regular display cases. None of the IKEA PAX sliding doors had clear panels at the time, so I replaced them with tempered glass. I loved the way they looked, but ended up costing a small fortune due to the inevitable scope creep! The project turned out to be quite "budget-hostile"! Generic photo of IKEA PAX wardrobe for reference.

Very nice Dave. Nicely displayed and obviously fun to not only look at, but also have fun rearranging them. Thanks for sharing.

Here are FOUR (of the 25 1:18 scale models) I have in my collections. These four are all 1959's. Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Buick, and Cadillac.

@daveg that comes up really well Dave, love the grandfather clock we can just see in the pic.

Thanks Geoff! That was my 21st birthday gift from my Dad. He wanted to give me something that would become a family heirloom, and he did! It is a Gazo "San Franciscan", and was hand-carved from solid Alder in San Diego, Ca. by the Gazo Family Clock Factory in 1980.

Dave, those displays are exceptional, and a beautiful collection you have. George, I love those 59's.🤑
@geoff-jowett +1. Yes Geno, I would like those pictures shelf by shelf to get a closer look at how your hand builts are mingled among the mint models.
@geoff-jowett The grandfather clock caught my attention. Lori and I bought one in 1985 to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary.
OMG Geno, you're shelf by shelf photos are totally awesome, not withstanding giant-like! WOW! You have one fantastic collection! Did I say WOW?

Thank you George. I am extremely appreciative. 💯😊
@geno brilliant thanks Geno. Try and pick Genos creations from the precision DM and FM models gents. Have we seen the 65/66? gold Pontiac GTO in individual pics?
