I am continuing with a few more shots of my "Small Town Car Show"
Thanks for looking.
and first, more of the story...
These shots were taken as I moved around the outside edge of the grounds.
The Corvettes are from Merritt Chevrolet's own collection.
The '69 had a flat tire on the trip out here, it seems that the cover is not closed
all the way. Hopefully they will take care of that before the trip back to town.
Farmer John promised to give me the info on the cars in attendance. He's been in this
town almost 80 years, so he knows all there is to know.
According to him, the Buick isn't local, the owner just opened the new Coffee House &
Grill in town. He says that the Buick is just too glitzy for his taste.
He couldn't tell me about the Cadillac right now, later (that IS a glitzy car, is all
he said).
The old '40 Ford Tudor belongs to the retired school teacher and the Chevy Pickup is
from a neighboring farm. The only thing he said about the Chrysler is, "There's a story
there too" Hmmm. So much gossip, I'd forgotten what small towns are like.
The Corvair is his Grandson's. Cute, but not practical he said. We didn't talk about the
Mustang either or the Ford Convertible. Later I hope.
The beautiful '48 Chevy is his, as are the GMC Pickup in the barn and the '62 Impala in
the garage. His wife's fussy about the Impala. "So we just leave it alone" was his comment.
The two '61 Impalas belong to the owner of Carnutz Collector Garage outside of town. The
Thunderbird is the Pharmacist's and the El Camino is the mechanic's from the Texaco Station.
WOW! So much info, don't you just love a story. More later.
More to follow!

Beautifully done! My favorite pic is #1, love the '64 Vette. That Buick does stand out in a crowd, doesn't it?!
These photos are remarkable !!! you worked absolute magic with this camera !!! goes to show ya,it`s what`s BEHIND the camera that makes all the difference
I`m enjoying your story line...
.......even devoid of pathos and strife,it plays out VERY nicely
The story behind the pictures? FANTASTIC!
