NEW MODEL WEEK

I picked this model up in late 2018. I hadn't intended on buying this one. I came across a '58 Corvette in white/silver which I had not realized FM had issued. Since the '58 is my favorite 50s Vette, I was intrigued. During the sale process, the seller mentioned he had the '56 in the same colors and made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Both models for a price less than the issue price of one. New in box. So here it is. Not one of my favorite models, the door gaps are pretty noticeable, but the colors work well and the '58 is even better.

John I would say that you got a heck of a good buy. As to the door gaps, the bodies on the 1/1s were pretty crude back in the fifties so the model isn't that bad IMO.

Love the pics John and the story of how you obtained this model and its companion.  Always fun to find a bargain that can't be passed up.  It's a beautiful model!
