Fun car. A friend still has one just like this right down to the year and colour. Thanks John.

I have the yellow and the black which is part of the set with the white 1988. I have often thought I need to get this white one but haven't done it yet. Nice pictures as always John.

Was the yellow Beetle the first issue of that model? I know it's old but well done.

Rich, The mind is a terrible thing to lose. The yellow one I have is a 1/18 scale.

They say hindsight is 20/20.  I should have added this VW to my collection.  If for no other reason than it was on the roads a plenty back n the day, it is a part of American car history even though it's not an American car.

Funny story... When I got my drivers license, it was a VW I wanted for a my first car.  I thought they were cute.  But along came a '58 Chevy Impala at a good price and it was the Chevy I got.
