John, great shots. My Mom had a 70 in this exact coloring. I remember right after we bought the car, we were driving and she needed to blow the horn. She went and pushed all over the middle of the wheel and nothing would happen. Little did she know but Dad showed her later in the evening that the Horn was blown by pressing the ring on the actually steering wheel ring and not in the center. We laughed about it later in life. Shame we did not keep this car, it was a beauty for Lincoln. I miss those long noses and the fabulous grill.
A beauty. Love the pics and the background!

John; Your pics do this one justice. From ebay pics I wasn't going to buy it but based on your pics I now will. Thanks!
Great pictures John. I have this one and the dark red one as well.
I had the Dark Red one. The key word in that last sentence is HAD. After receiving the model, I couldn't justify the price. And that drivers side window up makes no sense at all. I was never real keen on all the many "working parts" on the Diecast models, as whether a gas cap opens or not is not something that matters, but when a car is priced as this Automodello model is, it should come with an engine that actually starts. I sent the car back and never been sorry! Automodello is simply over-priced.

I guess it depends on your likes and interests. For me, I have 4 of these Lincoln models, this one, the white, the dark red & the turquoise 1970. The red is my least favorite, but I don't feel cheated with any of these, I love them. Now not all of the Automodello models hit me the same way, the Mark V, Riviera & the Eldorado are just "there" for me, as are the '66 Galaxies (I think I expected too much and they didn't measure up). While the Cord & the Graber Duesenberg are so amazing, I feel that I way under paid for what I got. They have some more amazing models planned, but since I've pretty much stopped buying this scale, I'll see when they are issued.

I forgot, I think the window thing is kind of neat. Some of my 1:43 scale models have the same feature.

Interesting, as that "up" window thing is such a huge turnoff for me. I remember in the 1960's when there were some plastic promotional 1:25 scale models that had the windows up. I really hated that. I forgot to mention that I do have two Automodello models...both Riviera's, the blue one and the gold one. I do like them a lot, but the window thing bugs me. The really big turnoff though is the price. I can't justify spending that kind of money on them.

John M. I agree with your thoughts. I recently received the Cadillac Allante in red from Automodello and think it is a fairly nice model.
