Danbury Mint Diecast cars back?

Recently I received a Danbury Mint preview car. However, a couple of months ago I called Danbury Mint and was advised that they were no longer doing diecast cars because the cost was to high to produce them. Is Danbury getting back into the diecast cars? Or is the car I received a test market car, limited production, etc...? The car is a '48 Chevrolet Fleetline Areosedan. Is it something to keep or nothing special.

Barry, the 48 Chevy is almost old news already. This forum has been buzzing for over a month. You can scroll down to read many topics discussing it.

As for it being something special...I think so! But then as a collector who is hooked on classic cars, I think all DM's 1.24's are special.

Danbury Mint

I've had the car for a couple weeks. Just wanted to know if DM is starting to get back into the diecast car market.
