I always loved FM's prewar Rolls Royce models. When I saw this 1926 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost at the FM store at the mall 40 years ago(!), I was somewhat underwhelmed. It was a rather drab silver. The dash was just an applique and the huge dog leg hinges were so intrusive. For the time, the wire wheels weren't too bad. On the plus side, I was impressed with the textures of the seats, tonneau cover and the luggage trunk. The opening tool box was a nice touch. The undercarriage was also nicely detailed. After some ruminating, I bought it. What was the deciding factor? I was a sucker for the serpent head horn. LOL

Great photos. The serpent horn sold me too, I thought that was so cool, I had to have the model.

If I can locate one at a reasonable price I would add it to my collection, have to agree on the doglegs …horrible, but the wire wheels and seats and boot are excellent looking.

Have it, love it. Lots to love and a few things not so much. The serpent got me too.
