No longer built either in 1:1 or 1:24 is this purpose built delivery truck manufactured by Detroit Industrial Vehicle CO. The company started building delivery trucks in 1926 in Detroit. For its final years it moved production to Delaware, Ohio where production ceased in 1986. The vast majority of these Divco trucks were operated by dairies for home delivery of their dairy products. How well I remember growing up in the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts the gray with red graphics Divco truck from High Lawn Farm that would deliver our milk on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to our house. During the summer months as a kid I would often ride the truck from our stop to the finish of the route and would help deliver the milk to homes and estates in Lenox. They either didn’t have rules about NO RIDERS or John Dellea, our milk man ignored them. Those were more relaxed years.
Here is a Divco operated by Borden’s.
