DM '27 Stutz with Blackwall Tires
According to the Club review of the DM '27 Stutz, the car DM was modeling against was the 27 Stutz that won the Stevens Trophy Cup and some further digging revealed that the actual Stutz (or replica) is in the Simone Foundation Automotive Museum in Philly. It has blackwall tires on red spoke wheels. Also, the 1928 Stutz Black Hawk BB 4 passenger Speedster is pictured on Supercars.net has blackwall tires. So it looks like DM may have been deciding whether to go with an original as-raced version or a street version of the '27 Black Hawk and in that case David Applebaum is probably correct, it is likely an artist's proof.
