I think it safe to say the popularity and fame of the '57 Chevy warrants

Amodel in any scale equal to the Precision 100
Chrysler 300, the DM 300's or DeSoto's, or the FM Ford
'32 V8's etc. Even the Highway 61 Studebaker level of
detail and quality would be great. I think there is room
for just one more. this time done right in any scale.

I'm done with this subject

Thank you all for your opinions, this is how a board should operate

I was glad to see all of the responses to my comparo post. Many 'readers' do not contribute which is sad. The only reason for the 1:18 Ertl car was used was because it was the only other '57 Chevrolet in my collection, and that the paint quality was near equal on both models. I do have 1:24 scale cars by the Mints, the ones that I find to be well molded and finished. It's no secret that I am an Exoto collector, as well as Autoart,Kyosho and GMP in 1:18th,Creative Masters in 1:20 and even 1:12th scale cars. My collectors desire is only to have cars that I enjoy to look at-nothing more. If anyone took offense, so be it: I do not have a 'favorite' scale, only certain standards that may differ from others. If I find a release that I feel that has not been objectively reviewed, you can count on my opinion!

Chris be the man!!!
Grin Once again, he has clearly hit the nail on the head. If you look at the 300D Chrysler from DM, you know it's are-pop of the tasty 300C Convertible from the same source. The difference is the re-pop is an improvement /diversity of a SotA -Tech model; the replica is clear and sharp on its details and all the latedt innovations wer designed into the original. The result is a crisper, fresher look ....just think how neat that Chevy would be had it come out of an up to the minute tool. Bravo, Chris!!!!
