I think it’s very sad that DM put out a very nice 1935 ford and price it way out of my price range it cost $275.00 with shipping and my state sales tax . I Purchase many cars from DM at a fair price Sadly not this one

It's sad that this is DM's final new model, but for my collecting taste it couldn't be better.

Thanks, David. I also understand that many car makers require input and approval of the prototype before they will allow a production run to be distributed. So, licenses must be purchased, royalties paid, approvals and possible adjustments made, all this before we get them in our hands.

That's a handsome model and a MUST HAVE!

WHY? Two fold.... it LOOKS nice, and it's a fair well to us collectors! As you said a bitter sweet moment for us 1:24th die-hards! I will continue to collect, 1:18ths and 1:43rds with an occasional other scale if I like the image. RIP 1:24th precision models!!!!!

im NOT happy about the price, but think of it this way... some of their latest LE models cost around $167 with shipping and all. THAT said this is only a hundred $$ more. Static resins are selling for around $300 so.... a bargin in retrospect!!

Hi Franko,

I emailed DM last night around 10:00 P.M. to ask them to order it for me. I got a return email from a DM rep asking me "what is the 1935 Ford? All we are offering right now is the Olive green Mustang".

So I went to the web site and low and behold, both cars were there. DM still has that demanding sensation when I look at one of their cars. I already have the Turquoise Mustang and the Black Mustang 2+2's so I don't need a third one right?

Wrong! These are DM's last two offerings Or at least we think they are (for the moment anyway) so, I now have both of the last two cars on order. The 35 Ford looks killer and the Olive green Mustang just seems like old times. I don't need it, but I love it and I want it.

Like T and (almost) everyone else, I have always thought of Rick Hanmore as a friend even though we never met. He is a straight up guy. It almost sounds a little strange telling everyone how much he added to my pleasures in life, but it's true.

So two more times, I will be able to look for the white box that always assured me, it would be a warm and fuzzy weekend checking out what Rick, James and The Danbury Mint have wrought.

Thanks for the memories guys. I can't begin to tell you how much I'll miss you.
