I bought the top-up version ....

I was thrilled to discover this car, and ordered one right away, but when I received it, I was very disappointed. It is TINY! It is clearly NOT 1:24, but 1:25 or maybe even 1:26. I have a handful of 1:25 that don't seem that bad, so I would guess this is probably 1:26.

They shouldn't be allowed to advertise it as 1:24, but if you don't mind the scale issue, it's nice for the $$. The scale irks me to no end! Smile

Unfortunately, companies like these need to make their models to fit their standard size box. If they made a Smartcar, it'd probably be 1:20 scale, and a 59 Caddy would be 1:30 scale.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to add a few more foam peanuts to the boxes that had smaller cars in them than to increase the scale of the model to fit a box????

OH, WAIT, I get it. Push the product out the door and make some fast money. There are many people that will buy anything even if it is wrong.
