Does anyone own the WIX 1965 Shelby Cobra?

These look good and are reasonably priced. If you own one I would appreciate hearing what you think of it. Thanks.

Ed, I have one. It's the best 1:24 Cobra model out there. Get one, you won't be disappointed.

I agree, a very nice, realistic model.

The WIX Cobra and GT40 MkII are based on whose models and where are they available, please.

Paul Both are Icons-Global.com models. Theyare an incentive manufacturer which does it's own dies.

The 3 styles of Cobra's and the GT40 were made for WIX Filters. The Cobra Blue is a street race bumper car. The Grey is the only Cobra with street Bumpers. The white racer is #11 Elvis replica. The GT40 is bright yellow with Black livery and is an outstanding model. The Gt40 shows a 2005 Copyright and is hard to come by. I have an auto parts store in Tacoma,WA with one. He also has Cobra's they are in the range of $45.00 each. I would be happy to purchase them for you as well as send them to you. I know there are restrictions in mailing to europe so please advise me. I would expect that you cover my costs (Actual) and shipping no mark up and if I get them cheaper you will enjoy that discount. LMK? I have not tried going on the internet to see if they are pictured on Icon's site.

In several ways the Cobras are superior to FM's...

which is a great model in its own right. The Wix Cobra boasts some superior interior detail, in most cases (based on the examples I have) correct ride height, and arguably a bit more accurate body contours. The "heat blued" outside exhaust headers on the blue version are a nice touch too. Below is a pic of the #11 Elvis movie car version that I converted to the well known Essex Wire livery, the single most winning Comp. 427 Cobra ever. Highly recommend; they are on ebay every so often, at ridiculously low cost. Hope this helps!

PS The wheel centers in the pic look blu-ish....they are argent gray. My crummy photo skills!

photo no longer available

Ed I believe this site is owned by Icons, Inc. Here's a link:

I have not purchased from them but someone here probably has.
