Does size matter?

I've noticed that the guys on the 1/43 forum are very serious about their scale and the hobby in general. We 1/24 guys have a tendancy to be a bit more light hearted and have more fun. I wonder if size really does matter. LOL.

Size?

Could be that, with no new models towould concentrate our approval or wrath, we have mellowed out, satisfied with what we have and longing for the old days.

Could be, but even years ago when we were getting new stuff we were more easy going. For the most part that is.

Easy going, Doug ?!?! Have you forgotten the tantrums, snit fits and crankiness that happened.......

..over here on almost a weekly basis? I'd like to get a pair of those rose colored glasses that you're wearin', but I need them in prescription. 😉 Grin

It has been a bit more mellow over here recently.

of course it matters...

... 1/24 is all about balance not too small not too big. Just enough details seen with naked eye. Not so many oversized disproportioned parts, therefore more realistic but still smaller than 1:18 (I'll need museum to display 1:18 in the quantity of my 1:24 collection). Plus it provides great selection of cars of the pre WWII era which is my primary are of interest. I am new (one year) in the diecast collecting but still like it best. Plus, similar to many of you I have 1:43 and plan to buy some 1:18.
