Doug,Gene,Phil,Others Are you OK? News shows it's pretty much over cept some rain. Let Us Know Guys?
Of course you might be out of power. They just said Mass Power will need a couple of days to get most up and even up to a week for some.
Report From NE PA: All's Well...
I'm in northeast Pennsylvania, about 90 miles northwest of Philly. Rains and winds began early yesterday afternoon, increasing in intensity as the day wore on. Heavy rains and winds 40-50 mph through this morning. Left at 6 am for a six mile drive to work. Lanes were blocked by downed tree limbs in two places, but traffic was able to maneuvre around them. Civilians directed traffic in one spot. Lots of "light" debris on the roadway: small branches, leaves, etc. In the city, traffic lights were not working at two main intersections. Police were directing traffic there. Heavy rains and wind continued throughout the morning, tapering off by mid afternoon. I arrived home at 3:45 pm to find that we had no power since noon. Power was restored at 4:15 pm. No major damage reported in the area, but there's flooding of some small streams and low-lying areas. All said, it was not as bad here as predicted, but better safe than sorry. Glad I put the tops up on all the littles convertibles 🙂
Glad You are OK! Did you file the report to DM the little cars are weather resistant & don't leak more than a 1:1's. LOL Hope the rest are OK From here it looks like Phil maybe the most impacted so keep the fingers crossed & Prayers going. Never hurts to do so!
Good to Hear from you Ed Glad No Damage.
Agree: Best Thoughts For Phil; He's Very Exposed
PICS All okay here, David.Thanx for asking. Just heavy rain at my place from about 9PM last night...
to 2PM today. I would guesstimate between 4 and 5 inches all in, which is still quite a lot from one storm, but not a lot of wind thank goodness. I'm in a kind of "holler" that protected me from the worst of it I guess.
Lots of flooding all around me, tho' as shown in these pix from the web of a lovely little hill town about 30 miles south of me in western Massachusetts...

Woah! And they say that it can take the rivers a couple of days to crest?
That's right, Joel. That's a BIG river, so it's probably still rising and will continue to do so....
for a while yet.
Don't know how long ago those pix were taken, so I've got to wonder if those bridges survived. Jackpot rainfall amounts were in some of the small towns around Albany, NY with between 10 and 12 inches of rain in less than 24 hours!
From North Carolina. Our home is about 120 miles from the Outer Banks & about 45 miles west of
Raleigh. We were at the extreme fringe of the hurricane. We had some rain & winds that didn't exceed 25 mph. No damage of any kind. We bit the bullet this time.
No power loss here, ...
Irene is just about gone. Just a little drizzle now. No major damage, just some broken branches, lots of debris in the pool and a downed old picket fence. That's it. Yard clean up tomorrow.
Good night Irene!
Good reports so far...thanks guys.
Some downed trees in Southern NH....but all quiet now and okay.

John Engelman lives in Virginia...hope he made it through unscathed? No news from him yet and he doesn't answer his cell yet!

NICE DAY
Here in Buffalo. Cloudy with some sun and good winds in the am but have diminished. Sun is out. For once, Buffalo dodged something, but, of course, we had the "earthquake" on Tuesday. Best wishes to all for the best outcome possible.
Cell service might have been affected by the storm. I e-mailed him a little while ago........
and have not heard back yet. Could just be he's lost power.
Everything's fine here in Cambridge. No power loss, but lots of trees down. A 300 year old tree fell across Beacon Street in Boston and almost hit the Bull & Finch bar, better known as "Cheers". Luckily it missed the building and didn't knock Norm off his bar stool.
