Doug thanks for your pics below of the DM Buick!
Its nice to see pictures of MODELS here once in a while. Everyones efforts and contributions here are welcomed and appreciated, but die-cast models are hardly a topic of discussion here the past year or so. Everyone seems to have jumped on the post pics of 1:1 car band wagon. Again, I suppose whatever keeps this board flowing and alive is welcomed and without 1:1s there obviously wouldn't be models to be made in ANY scale so.... I just wish that we could have more talk of our little cars. More then likely the culprit IS the economy. I cannot afford to buy 25% of what I used to buy 5 years ago. Situations change, I bought my own house, have had to do renovations, and buy things for the house, fuels gone up, foods gone up, my salary has NOT gone up due to my Union giving back out last 3% raise etc.. All these are reason I dont buy as many models as I did several years ago. That said if I am buying less models there is less to talk about, and I am sure im not alone here so.. Lets hope the economy improves so we can all buy more models and have more diecast talk!
I think we talk a lot about 1.24 cars.
Yes we have the daily 1.1 pics and such, but there is plenty of discussion about present and past diecasts that seem to stimulate interesting conversation...and even debates. LOL!
I like the board just the way it is.

There's plenty of room here for 1:1 and 1:24.
It's my pleasure. I will try to get back to my "Diecast pic of the day" feature I started.
Doug, one thing I'd love to see, is a photo of the '56 Roadmaster with the '54 Cadillac Coupe DeVille, '56 Packard Caribbean hardtop, and '56 Lincoln hardtop. I keep thinking this would be a very cool shot!
Want diecast talk? Just scan and post one of these..........
A brochure of any upcoming diecast model.
Before we actually see the real production model, the car pictured in the brochure will be throughly nit picked to death about missing working features, color, body panel correctness and anything else that can be thought of in a span of 3-4 days.
Phil, I 100% agree with you that it's really nice to see more diecast photos and subjects!
The VAST majority of the posts and photos are of 1:1 subjects. I'm looking forward to seeing Douglas Ford bringing back his Diecast of the Day feature. I always enjoyed it.
What are you speaking about??????????
it is on the market since many months with plenty of reviews.
I completely agree.................
it would be far more interesting than posting a 1;1 featured car everyday.
I like both and think there's plenty of room for both.
Agreed.
Guess my 1:24 scale 3-car set I posted Monday didn't count Phil.
I post pics of my new diecast arrivals when I get them to share since not many collectors here take the time to do so even if they know how.
YES Larry it counted and was very appreciated! I like the 68 Gold GTO
I have the Verdoro green one and it's nice, but the Gold looks better IMO. I did say that all efforts are appreciated and I think I have a better understanding now then 2-3 years ago why our board has taken this turn. Most likely it is the fact that we as a whole are buying LESS models thus less to talk about!
