Styling sure changed in 11 years back then, not so much today. I've got the same collection of Chevies George. It's too bad WCPD or the Mints didn't keep going. I would have loved to have at least a '65 and would been in heaven if the '66 thru '70 were produced as well. I do have a 1:24 black '65 SS from Sunstar. Although it's nowhere near Mint quality, it's a good 10-footer.

I like the black Sunstar Pete, never knew one existed. From the pics it looks fairly decent for sure. I do have two '65s in 1:25 scale, one in cream color and the other silver. When parked next to the 1:24 mint versions, it looks more like the size of a Camaro. Since the mints didn't do a '65 in 1:24, I'm glad to have it. For the 1960's, to my eyes, the '62 and '65 Chevy's are the most beautiful.
The SunStar ‘65 is a decent model, it is slightly smaller than 1/24, but not quite as small as 1/25. I have it in this black and a beige convertible. The hardtop looks better. Welly makes one, but at best it is 1/26 or even 1/27. I have two of them, they are not displayed. Jada makes a ‘53 Hdtp and convertible that are very nice. I featured them in a complete photo set several years ago.
