@jcarnutz John, I just noticed it now and I have to ask, how did you join the new site 24 years ago?
Not sure how that happened. It popped up when I signed into this site for the first time. Now I probably have a been here that long since I joined in the late 90s on the original site.

This is only a guess, but I think it is because you probably registered using exactly the same name and email that you used when you first registered back in the 1990's.
I say this because in my case, instead of registering as "George Schire", for the new site I registered as "georgeschire". So though I've been a member of the site since the early 2000's, it now says I've only been a member for "1 month ago".
Like I said, just a guess.

George, I have three versions of this model. The coral with body colored rims and coral with black rims along with the black one. To my eye the 56 Lincoln Premier is one of the most beautifully styled cars ever.
Absolutely agree that the '56 Lincoln "is one of the most beautifully styled cars ever". I've often echoed that sentiment.
Just curious, did Danbury Mint actually issue two versions of the coral hardtop with each having the different color rims?

George, Yes they did.
One of DM's finest models of one of the most elegant American automobiles of the 1950s, imo. I also have the Wisteria convertible. Like a dummy, I passed on the Presidential Black coupe. What I like about the coupes is the a/c ducting in the rear windows. I have a fascination with early auto a/c systems.
Don't beat yourself up about the Black Lincoln, I passed on it too. So we're dummies in law.

@bob-jackman, you are not alone in thinking this. Sadly I do not have the exact details to hand, but an official French arts academy awarded the '56 Premier a Grand Prix for styling, at the time.
I like so many of the various Lincolns I find it hard to choose from amongst them, but the '56 does strike a nice balance between dependable conservatism and youthful flare.
@lu There are thousands of old registrations ... some members were able to activate them, for others the old registrations got lost. I personally lost my previous registration. One of the moderators mentioned in the beginning that they had to manually recover some of the registrations and they were aware that some registrations got lost. If you go to the member tab and jump to page 11, you will see a transition between members registered in 2020 with at least 1 post and the old registrations from 1996 without any posts. Technically speaking this forum has about 180 active (with at least 1 post) members since the upgrade + perhaps another ~200 members with new registration and no posts, so the >4200 number is overestimated and includes thousands old registrations.
The forum is still pretty big if it has >400 people reading it.

Beautiful Lincoln, George. I just reached for mine to check on the color (and the wheels!), but it's packed away. We're having work done on the house, including my study/toy room next week, hopefully, and I've emptied several of the fragile display cases.
But I remember when the '56 came out. It was magnificent then and still, in my eyes, is. Thanks for posting it. David H
I'm happy to have this one in my collection, and I too passed on the black coupe. 🙁
My coral coupe has body colored rims.
