A WOMAN SCORNED
FBI agent Cam O'Blenzin's body was aching from remaining motionless at the forest edge for the past six hours while in wait for the anticipated arrival of suspected Belgian/Chinese double agent Tin Tin Alloy. Thirty minutes ago the surveillance specialist's senses had become heightened when he witnessed the arrival of treason suspect Judy Walker's split window Volkswagen. O'Blenzin could feel his anger building as he watched Judy casually stroll about the parked vehicles, amateurishly feigning interest in them in an exaggerated manner while scanning the area for any problems. Cam chuckled to himself as he watched her even go to the extreme of checking the engine of an old blue Chevrolet pickup. "You're foolin' no one with your bad actin' love" he thought, shaking his head. The Irishman couldn't wait to take her down for passing secret government documents; his disgust for her was deep seated as he considered her a terrible ingrate. Her profile indicated that she had been badly mauled by a bear and left for dead a year ago, narrowly avoiding death. At the time of the attack Judy had been the mistress of industrialist Austin Steeves, CEO of First World Robotics. As the result of her lover's drunken pillow talk months earlier, Judy had discovered that Steeves' company had a secret government contract developing robotics for military application. After Judy's lower leg amputation resulting from her attack the shallow Steeves had dropped the attractive blonde immediately but had offered her a well paid secretarial position in his company in order to ease his guilt. Judy, although infuriated and mortified by her lover's treatment, accepted the position offered with false gratitude, but inwardly vowed to make Austin pay dearly one day for the hurt he had caused. Information had recently come to light that Judy had been observed on hidden cameras removing microfiche documentation from a highly restricted area. Accordingly, she had been the subject of round the clock surveillance since that time; which had revealed her attendance at the Chinese Consulate on two occasions.
Agent O'Blenzin's gaze remained riveted on Judy for the next twenty minutes during which time she appeared to wait impatiently, nervously munching on some crackers from her car's glove compartment. Suddenly he tensed with apprehension as Judy started up her Volkswagen and drove across the lot. Simultaneously one of the cargo doors of a parked Coca Cola tractor trailer unit swung open and out jumped Tin Tin Alloy; who quickly ran to the Volkswagen and got in; whereupon Judy quickly drove away. Somewhat surprised by how the situation had suddenly unfolded, O'Blenzin radioed the situation status to the six surveillance units parked in the surrounding area. Within seconds five of the units were immediately tailing Judy's VW very effectively, in hopes of her taking them to their safe house, while the sixth picked up O'Blenzin and quickly caught up. Several minutes later Judy turned her car into the parking lot of a family restaurant and parked. As she and Tin Tin Alloy's body double quickly exchanged knowing smirks, they exited the car and were immediately surrounded by agents and arrested. Feigning shock and surprise they were escorted to separate cars for transport to headquarters. As she was being led across the lot to the car in handcuffs Judy looked up at the huge neon IHOP restaurant sign, laughed out loud at her choice of places to orchestrate her own fruitless arrest and hoped the irony of it wouldn't be lost on the FBI and the soon-to-be disgraced CEO Austin Steeves.
Meanwhile back near the scene of the surveillance, Tin Tin Alloy cautiously exited his non descript utility van, walked through a forested area and came upon the lot where the vehicles and airplanes were stored. After scanning the area intently for several minutes from a concealed position the Belgian/Chinese double agent walked quickly to the parked blue '59 Chevrolet pickup. Quickly popping the hood and feeling under the lip of the leading edge next to the latch, Tin Tin located the small magnetic box of microfiche left by Judy. As he returned to his parked van to make his getaway Tin Tin couldn't help but be impressed by the novice spy and planned to recommend her for future training and placement in his organization.
@jack-dodds .....I don`t know how you`re able to do this Jack.....you`ve once again produced your finest treatment....a gosh darn WONDER of a story.....I`m blown away by your talent for prose...jB
..........Tin Alloy would eventually make the return to his childhood home...the journey was unpleasant, and often paired Tinny with strange folk in unspeakably evil places....it was the aroma from his backpack, that of the as yet uneaten waffles, which always reminded him of Judy Walker and gave him the strength to persevere
But what of the soggy waffles? Knowing now, that the encounter with his second, was a mere charade to fool the gumshoe O'Blenzin, and with Tin Alloy's sophisticated tastes and the healthy dietary regimen which he strictly adhered to. Might the waffles not contain the certain agent in a vial, communicated to O'Blenzin's office by Hercules Porridge at Europol? And which is at this time O'Blenzin's primary case. In hot pursuit of his limping suspect could O'Blenzin failed to have grasped the connection between the Chinese agent in a vial, possibly concealed in the waffles, and the microfiche? Had there been a switch?
I`m at the precipice of needing subtitles
soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo....... who`s this Soggy Waffles chap again ??? ..............MI6?
Jeez you guys....you present so many scenarios and '"what ifs" and "then if onlys" that the mind reels with a plethora of sequel possibilities. It may be prudent though to not confuse our producers and to appease the sponsors, to maybe switch gears to go to the time honored and less expensive basic story theme of King Kong but with a twist. Just to rough out one story/sequel possibility...here we go.....
Tin Tin Alloy turns over the stolen microfiche to his Chinese contact Tu Hung Lo when he returns to Brussels. Tin Tin and Lo chat over a couple of martinis (one stirred, not shaken...one shaken, not stirred) and the Belgian lets it slip that he and his new American girlfriend Judy Judy Walker, now known as agent Peggy Legg, are shacking up soon in a little apartment in nearby Bruges. Lo has a hidden agenda in that he has been ordered by his Chinese superiors to eliminate Alloy and Walker-Legg in order to ensure that the American government never learns of their connection with one another and their ties to China. With pressure mounting from his superiors to get the hit done asap, Tu Hung Lo holsters his Walther PK and decides to follow the couple the following day and deal with them at the first opportunity. Coincidentally an African Wildlife exhibition is being held the next day in Brussels on the Heysel Plateau. Tin Tin and Judy Judy are unaware of this when they decide to visit "The Atomium", a giant molecular structure built on the plateau to celebrate the 1958 World's Fair held there. While driving en route the ever wary Tin Tin spots that they are being followed by someone and he quickly determines that they are in dire straights. A car chase ensues which culminates in a collision between both cars on the Heysel Plateau grounds; sending Lo's Citroen into a passing truck towing a trailer cage containing Prince Kong; renowned to be the largest simian in captivity. Lo staggers from the wreckage in time to see Tin Tin and Judy Judy flee into the massive Atomium structure. What Lo does not comprehend however is the screams of the gathered crowd as they run from the giant silverback gorilla that has escaped his damaged cage nearby. Ignoring his throbbing head injury Lo sprints to the Atomium, pulls his gun and forces his way inside. Realizing that there is a series of very many escalators ascending to the top of the structure, Lo spots the fleeing couple on the third rise and decides to pursue them. Outside on the plateau grounds the screams of the terrified public have frightened the escaped ape, causing him to leap up on the Atomium exterior structure and, true to his nature, begin climbing high and away from the threat. Meanwhile Tin Tin and Judy Judy are finally caught up by Lo at a very high viewing area and held at gunpoint. Tin Tin pled for Lo to spare them but the merciless spy simply laughed at him and pulled the trigger of his Walther as Tin Tin lunged towards him in desperation. As the men collided the gun went off; leaving the badly injured Tin Tin slumped on top of Lo. Seizing the opportunity Judy Judy spotted a nearby viewing window, ripped off her prosthesis, used it to smash the glass, then climbed out onto the smooth exterior surface; trying desperately to hold on. Lo staggered to the window opening and, spotting the trapped woman, leaned out to finish her off. Suddenly from a short distance above, the sound of a loud screech filled the air. As Lo turned toward the sound he was hit full force by Prince Kong leaping down from above, his curiosity piqued by the noisy human. Knocked out of the window by the impact, Lo screamed in terror as he fell hundreds of feet to his death below. Feeling her grip failing, Judy Judy desperately cried out for help and to her amazement the huge gorilla, strangely seeming to understand, swept her into his arms and gingerly made his way down the exterior of the structure to the ground. Spotting his trusted trainer, Prince Kong laid out the passed out woman at his feet and was happily led back to the familiarity of a nearby cage. Tin Tin was hospitalized and treated for his wound but disappeared from the facility late one evening. Judy Judy was driven to hospital by the kindly gorilla handler where she was fitted with a new prosthesis but she too simply disappeared the next day. The whereabouts of the duo is unknown at this time.
Have a read fellas; we'll put our heads together soon to fine tune it, then approach the studio Bigs and..... hopefully Bob's yer uncle.....$$$.
THE ATOMIUM
@john-barry It's actually Prince Kong as this hero ain't as big as the Empire State building dude; he's an impossible act to follow. Remember JayBee, this is just a rough copy needing fine tuning....I'll wait to hear from you and Charles; who is probably tucking in to a plate of chipped beef on toast for dinner right about now.
Who needs Hollywood with J.B. & J.D. at the helm? Right now Charles is so busy with work, it's a coin flip between the addictive scenarios and not getting a right bollocking from his clients! Food doesn't get a look-in - not soggy waffles nor even the delights of chip-beef on toast.
Soooo.....this is where Tin Tin Alloy and Peggy Legg went to ground after fleeing Brussels! Peggy's disguise as Grandma Hood is well done, complete with housecoat to hide her prosthesis and lavender sprigs to fill the senses. Tin Tin's alias of Soggy Waffles will suffice for the time being but their discovery of the VW Thing in the old tithing barn is bringing unwanted attention from the locals in the quiet Cornish village outside St. Ives. Falsely advertising it on Used St. Ives as a German combat unit once used in the filming of the TV series Rat Patrol, in hopes of generating much needed cash, has already sensationalized their hideaway. Local farmer Manny Sheaves has just arrived on his Can't Say Indian Anymore motorcycle, offering to trade it and three of his best laying chickens for the VW. Peggy pretends to struggle with making a decision and settles for Manny's offer but wisely insists on keeping the machine gun. While awaiting Sheaves' arrival a tense moment occurred where the famous and normally reclusive Cornish Ogre of storybook legend dropped by to inspect the VW. Luckily he decided against the purchase as it was not compatible with the scale of his collection; which deflected the unwanted attention of reporters always in his wake.
