Flushed with a bit of cash and a first born son (me), my father bought a Mercury coupe to get that coveted V8. It was quickly totaled by a trolley car. Somehow it was the trolley car's fault so it was replaced by this Ford Special Deluxe V8 Coupe. I rode in the back of that car until he traded it in for a 1954 Ford Mainline 4 door sedan. He waited an extra year having read in Popular Mechanics that the '54 would introduce the OHV V8 replacing the flat head. As a kid, I thought the '54 was kinda ugly but now I had my own entry to the back seat.
I like this body style second to the coupe, but would love to own either one. I love this color as well.
Those are beautiful, clear & crisp pics what a great job you've done Rich.

I love this coupe look. I ordered the model on release. As always great shots Rich, particularly the closeups, thanks.
