I love collecting Bugattis. Sometimes you have to hit the bargain basement for some of the more arcane models. For the price of $6, I brought home a French "Majorette" Type 55 roadster with coachwork by the rather unknown company of Chapelle & Jabouille which seems to be more known for taxi cab bodies.

The second model is a more upscale $12 Bburago 1932 Type 55 that was bare bones but better build quality.

Both of these models got a bit of paint detailing, a faux wood dash with punched out butyrate (CAB) lenses. The bare arm rested were 'upholstered' with masking tape and painted the same saddle brown. I rate them both as 2-3 foot models (without readers).

Have one of these but it needs appropriate tires, looks like Bugatti resto-mod. Burago was putting same tires on every model for years. Otherwise it has very decent shapes and with your touchup looks much upscale. Excellent pictures as usual!

@chav

I agree. The bodywork of these models are not that bad. Especially the Bburago is ok. If only the wheels were ok it would be great to collect them cause there are a lot of different colours. But these great pictures make me doubt... I think i will start. Smile
