Just in today is the Series #1 tractor, John Deere 1958 Model 630 Hi-Crop. This is the hardest one to find and generally more expensive. The reasons are two-fold. All five of the editions come with metal medallions. This one was incorrect on its date and comes with a letter from Ertl to that effect and a replacement coin. Secondly, all editions are 1 of 4000, but this first edition is one of 1500.

And I did notice yesterday, the little one is a guy - a yearling 'button buck'!

Jack, these are Ertl 1:16th scale. Several sellers on eBay specialize in that scale and Deere tractors as well as online stores. Online is Ag-Farm Diecast, Dalton's Diecast, Outback Toys, among others.

@perrone1 Thanks Tony.  Hopefully these will be done in 1:43 one day....they are very nice!  So far I have about 30 tractors in 1:43  from the 40s thru 60s; marques that were seen here through the years.  John Deere is one line that I have not found many of in this scale.

Jack, many ARE done in 1:43; I have several in that scale, not as many in 1:32nd and quite a few in 1:64th. Obviously the larger scale has dramatic detailing and operational features but the 1:43rd Deere tractors are VERY nice as well! The places I mention above have that scale too!

HA! We do. We have right at an acre here and have two 'double knockout' rose bushes. They nibble on those once in a while but they really like rosemary, lavender, my oregano and thyme and Italian basil the best!

I had a small collection of Franklin Mint tractors for a while.  I believe they were 1:12 scale.  My sister has them now, she uses them for fall displays during Halloween and Thanksgiving.  These Ertls are very detailed and impressive.

Deer with discerning taste!  Do they hum "Scarborough Fair" while grazing?

Those tractors are very impressive. I have always been interested in tractors, but I have never bought in scale. It's great to see yours.

Tony, great tractors!  I know very little about them, but these are great.  Here's one I bought a few months ago just for kicks.  I tentatively identified it after a little looking.  Any ideas?  I'm sure the cultivator/drag is of a different origin, but I know nothing of it.

I would appreciate any clues you might have.
