After a tough decision last year, I let 2 of my originals go! Both went to the same person and I know they have a good home.
The first was my ‘Cuda Hardtop build. This had photoetch parts, a 3pc vinyl top and correct In Violet paint. I built this while I was still doing Respiratory Home Care. To be honest, this is what got me the job at FM.
The second was my version of the Garage Diorama. The original concept was on life support and was about to be killed. I asked if I could give it a shot. When I brought it in, I think people liked it! I was then instructed to fit this into a shadow box. Since I wasn’t about to tear this apart, I agreed to have a piece ready over a weekend for a Monday Morning presentation. That piece was approved by Lynda Resnick along with my Rustbucket truck. This was the famous Design Approval meeting where she said “Geeeeeenius”!
Here they both are at their new home!
resting eyes upon this creation has an effect on the psyche as one would experience with a mesmerizing fire or the ocean waves rolling in...............genius indeed
Another imaginative piece by the master. So what happened after "Geeeeeenius" was shouted. Was the project killed because the pricepoint was too high unless it was 'dumbed down', or did marketing think it wouldn't sell enough units?
What JB said!
