I remember when I started to get Automodello's 1965 Buick Riviera Gran Sport models from China to photograph. The first to come was this Astro Blue model. My first impression was that it's such a perfect period color that as far as I was concerned, they could have stopped right there. As I remember, this medium blue metallic, which appeared on all the majors in various hues,  was very prone to sun fading if not perfectly maintained, but it sure looked gorgeous out of the showroom.

It looks beautiful out in the daylight!

Inside, as a studio shot, it looks different. So does the gold and so does the green.

@perrone1 Blue is one of those colors that flop like crazy with different light angles. Low light helps a bit but then small details are obscured.

@bob-jackman Bob, do you plan on getting the 61 Caddy from Automodello? I'm really looking forward to that one.

@whodeytink Absolutely but only wish it was a 1962 my favorite year for Cadillac.

@bob-jackman Me too. I think the 62 looks a little more refined.

Great pics as usual Rich.  One thing that bothered me about this model was the taillights.  The reverse lights should be inboard near the license plate.  I fixed mine and it looks much better.
