or this one-off Rollston Arlington Torpedo-bodied Duesenberg SJ ultra luxury sedan, aptly named the "Twenty Grand". Built for the 1933 Chicago World's Fair. It was designed by Gordon Buehrig whose work graced the automotive world to WWll. At this price when average cars sold in the $600 to $800 range, it turned out to be too expensive even for the world's weathy elite and remained a one-off. Restored in the Nethercutt Museum, its value is no estimated at $40 million.
This 24 year old model by FM has all the old tech at the time with significant panel gaps, but still looks regal.
Rich. Great photos as usual. Thanks for sharing.
Super pictures and writeup Rich. Even though this is old tech, the model is too important not to be in any collection that features 1/1 Classic Cars.
