+1  My favorite Mustang......had one in red, identical to this one.  It still survives today; owned by the owner after me since 1984!

@jack-dodds Jack, I'll bet knowing someone else owns that beauty is tough.

Bit of a story about that Bob....which I mentioned a couple years ago, so I will give you the short story.  The car was pristine when I owned it but sadly it was rear ended by a drunk driver back in '84 when parked and was written off (I got $6400 for it which reflected its condition/collectability at that time).  A fellow I knew who owned a higher end body shop bought it from the insurance company and did a great job of repairing the driver's side rear quarter area of damage.  I came across it in his shop being repaired and was extremely happy that it had been saved.  I only saw it once in traffic after that and assumed it had been used up over the years and eventually scrapped.  About four years ago I came across it at a car show; it was on display.  The owner's card in the windshield was the same man who repaired it!  I spoke with him and he remembered me.  The car had only gone 10 thousand miles since I owned it; the guy said it is always garaged and taken out only a couple of times per year.

Thanks for the story - again. I remember it now. Cool 'Stang!

@perrone1 Tony; the strangest/funniest thing about finding my old Mustang at the show with so few miles added since I owned it was that in 1983 I had installed one of those cheapo steering wheel grip covers that lace up.  All those years later it was still in place and in good shape!
