For whatever reason, my DM '60 convertibel IS longer than my DM '59 Series 62 'white' convertible...

... which are the only '2' BIG 1:24 Caddys I've got in my collection. They are both in 'single', stackable, display cases. I had to have a different style display case for the '60.

Did DM make a mistake 'in scale' of one or the other?
...I have no idea.

Can you back them up against a book or something then take an Aerial view. Curious how much longer

That very odd to me being I THINK these were based off modified 59 tooling. My guess is they added too much to the quarter panels when they redid it to be a 1960 rear clip

I use a 'flip-phone' - camera no good. You might get a quicker response from Rick Hanmore. My...

... '59 and '60 are displayed 'at the bottom' of separate 'stacks' and on different shelves.

Like I was saying, the '60 would not fit in the same case that I had the '59 in... so, it is longer.

Phil...I have TEN '59 Cadillac's in 1:24 scale, and they ALL fit in my standard plastic cases. But,

DM '60 Cadillac's DO NOT, and yes it's because they are just a tad longer.

And Billy, you made my point. You had to get a different case for the 60 Caddy, different from your regular cases. I wasn't going to do that. I wouldn't be able to have ONE car in a different style case.

Thus, I passed on the 60 and sent it back.

George; yes - I 'WAS' making your 'case'...pardon the pun! LOL! And I...

... also understand your 'display' frustration.
I try to have groups of the same type of case so that it displays in a uniform fashion. I don't have a curio case -and- only a couple, 'smaller' 1:24, wall-mounted cases.

'Presentation' is part of the hobby too.

The DM 1959 Cadillac red convertible I have fits into an

AMT standard display case but my DM 1960 Cadillacs won't fit.

We are so on the same page about "presentation being part of the hobby" Billy. I have all of my 1:24 scale cars in the exact same size plastic cases, and I can stack them on top of one another. I have the them all displayed in wood cabinets that I had built specifically for the cars.

So there was just no way that I was going to have ONE car (two if you count both the convertible and hardtop versions of the 60 Caddy) in a different size/type plastic case.

The good thing is that it was a 60 Caddy, that to be honest, I'm not that fond of. Now had it been an Oldsmobile of any year, and it didn't fit in a 1:24 case, then I'd have had a real decision to make.

Thankfully since 1:24 scale seems to have died, I'm thinking I won't have to worry about that possible scenario anytime soon.
