Thanks for the info. Absolutely love the '59 Chevy
I ordered both the LE Sport Coupe and the new LE convertible.

Mine is scheduled to ship on March 24; the convertible mate to ship in July.
What color is the convertible expected to be?
Any hint as to the exterior and interior colors?
I am 59ed out.... think I'll pass
Me Too
But, if I wanted another, I'd get one from Brian at WCPD. His are as good as anbodys and better than most, with moe parts and options and spare parts. Looks like another rash of repaints from DM as well as everone else(FM). No thanks.
Rep said not sure, but she heard red.....
Is Danbury clueless or were they aware of WCPD?
Boy I thought it was a little strange when they did the convertible with all WCPD was doing. But to do two more? Brian gave us all the nice 59 Chevy's we needed except the Stationwagon. If DM had really thought about it they should have done a wagon.
A better choice would have been the two tone Cameo Coral and Satin Beige. But they didn't so I will pass.
DM's 59 Chevy convertible last year was without fender skirts, which is how I prefer it. WCPD's Chevy's (of which I have 5 of them) had the skirts.
I've placed my order for DM's new one! Though I am Chevy'ed out, the 59 is my favorite Chevy for sentimental reasons. My first 1.1 was a white 2 door HT with red interior in 1967. That baby could fly...and with those awesome bat-wings I was the envy of my high school.

I'm Chevy'ed out, but not 59 Chevy'ed out. Now if it were another 59 Cadillac from DM or FM...no thank you, I'll pass. And I'm betting both will spring one this year being the 50th anniversary of that boat. I have six already and one would have been enough.

I think they knew very well about WCPD and that's exactly why they produced these models. Note how similar they are to WCPD's in many details, not often found on DM models. Call Brian Dunning, he can clue you in.
DM vs. WCPD for the 1959 title!
I've sang the praises of Brian's WCPD 59 Chevy's many times, as well as his other Chevy's. And everything I've said with regard to his cars is sincere! He captured the feeling of driving one of those beauties from days gone by, and I love all five of the 59's I have from him.
But that said, I also have to give kudo's to DM for 59 Chevy convertible last year. It too, is right on! The thing that I like about DM's vs. WCPD's is that DM's have no fender skirts.
That alone makes DM's the better looking of the 59's we've been offered so far. And I had no doubt in my mind when DM did their Chevy last year that would be doing a 50th anniversary edition of it too. I was prepared for that, and have placed my order.
When I receive DM's new sport couple and the repaint convertible, that will put me at eight 59 Chevy's...and taht will be ENOUGH!
Now the only other Chevy's I will consider buying is a 52, 53, 63, or 65. The rest of the years have all been covered to death, and I don't need more.
Oh and by the way...DM vs. WCPD? It's a tie! Both got it just perfect!

WOW! I noticed in the information about the DM 59 that, they used my words, "WOW FACTOR". Cool! I've used those words many times when I've described some cars that just take your breath away every time you look at them. There are just some cars in my collection that get me to feel the "WOW FACTOR" everytime I look at them. I will look at it and say, WOW!

George: You know YOU CAN REMOVE THE SKIRTS from WCPD cars!!!
How does DM w/o skirts make it better looking when you can remove them on WCPD???
