just recently I found a "new" DM 1957 suburban.....it`s come to my attention that the rear center light housing and red lens is missing from my truck......checking through many sales listings,it`s apparent that this may be a common issue
does anyone here have some good closeup shots of the light,lens,mount for this assembly?

To be honest with you JB. I just checked mine and it has a clear lens in the center spot. Checking at web photos, they all show a red lens. So maybe DM got it wrong on this version.

@carsman1958 ..........Thank you John.....I had a notion that rear facing lights had to be red in color,with the exception of amber accents.........................I suppose it`s possible that different versions of the `57 were released

Consider it an aftermarket back-up lamp.
