Long production run, in a number of iterations over 20 years from 1975 to 1996. Sold well here in Australia, always thought they were quite striking. Theres actually six XJ-SCs currently for sale on our leading internet car sales sight.

I bought this kit ages ago, been a bit put off completing it because of a lot of extremely detailed and intricate paintwork required in the interior. I've had a go, and included a woodgrain dash and just some chrome pen spots on the knobs and dials. Exterior paint went on well, 4 light coats, although the metallic grey turned out to be lighter than the 1:1 color. Interior color is close to spot on but I did take a bit of license painting the loose part seats and armrests a darker colour grey.

That's a most unusual top design leaving that arch support as a stiffener rather than re-engineer the chassis. Cool model.

Great job Geoff. That is a fantastic XJS model and great to see completed. I still have this cabriolet kit unbuilt.

Nicely done, a very slick model!  I like your color choices, very elegant.
