Really nice kit. Interesting car, raced in the 1939 LeMans 24 hour race. Needed to be painted white, after which it just didnt look right for a car racing continuously for 24 hours, so toyed with the idea of weathering it. I've used mud on my tractors before but not just plain dirt. Model had an annoying 2 part body, where the joins still showed after filling and sanding and then I stuffed up painting the bonnet straps so that meant I will give weathering a go. From a youtube tip I used enamel thinner and pigment powder. I think I may have overdone it a bit. Pretty dirty circuit in 1939!
Also it turns out I actually have 1/24 models of 2 cars that ran in the 1939 LeMans, the winner a Spark Bugatti 57C and this BMW 328 which finished 10th

Fantastic job Geoff! The weathering really makes it! That Bug looks terrific as well!
thanks Tony and Bob. Your comments have given me encouragement that I may not have overdone it!
