HERO ALERT! In the many auctions I've bought cars from here on the Forum, all have been very satisfactory and all cars received in condition as presented. With my recent purchase from CHET PRUST, I want to share what a man of good character he is.

I purchased a JADA 1953 Chevrolet Bel-Air for a mere $15. We all know that JADA cars are not near the replication of a Franklin or Danbury die-cast and certainly of lesser quality.

None the less, I wanted to add this '53 to my shelf as in doing so, I would have a Chevy die-cast for every year from 1953 to 1964. This being the primary reason I wanted the car.

I won the auction! Sent my check to Mr. Prust for $30 ($15 for the car and $15 for shipping). Now here is the good part...

After I'd sent my check, Mr. Prust emailed me and advised that while packing the car, he'd accidentally "knocked the drivers side door handle off". He told me he attempted to repair it with some "un-cure" glue, but in the process the paint was smudged a bit.

He advised me that he would NOT accept payment for the car for this reason and it was mine to keep or return.

I've received the car, and I have absolutely no issue at all with the slight smudge on the door, as it is barely noticeable.

I emailed Mr. Prust back and have insisted that HE KEEP my check for payment, as we are only talking a $15 car here.

It is so refreshing to know of Mr. Prust's fine character. He is a good man!

I love the car!

I've also had recent dealings with Chet. Simply put...he's a good man.

I must chime in as well. My recent purchase from him was wonderful.

A true gentleman. My new model is a one-of-kind made by him and it is fabulous.

99.9% of the members here are straight shooters like Chet. That is just one of the reasons

I prefer our auction to epay.

+2 Tom. In all my dealings on the auction, I've dealt with the best of the best. And Tom, you are among them. I've never bought from eBay and don't plan to anytime soon. I've peaked at the cars on the site and most are very expensive.

Thank you for the kind words George, and for the gracious way in which you responded to the situation. Great people here.
