Well, maybe not so hot but still cool. This '48 Fleetwood fastback brings back some memories. The grandparents of my neighbor used to come visit in a black fastback without the fancy trim package. They drove that car at least into the 70s and I don't think they went over 5 mph with it. I tried to buy it from them as a potential hot rod but I think they were buried in it.
This another first class model by DM with lots of details. I love the faux wood dash and striped upholstery.

Excellent model and pics. My grandfather had a '47 Fleetmaster town sedan until the late '60's. It needed a paint job so he brush-painted it with brown house enamel. I remember the time my sisters and I rode with him and my grandmother to the A&P. He drove about 15 mph, cars honking as they raced around us. He was unfazed, continued to looking straight ahead with both hands on the steering wheel. Occasionally he would bark out orders to my grandmother in Polish, her que to grab the column shift and raise or lower it while he pushed in the clutch. It was always a thrill riding with them!
cute story, reminds me of my Dad driving his 47’ Pontiac streamliner 4 door and driving sooo slow he could’nt keep up with the Funeral procession on the day the planted my Grandfather......Mom was so mad she was spittin’tacks lol.😝
