So I sifted through a pile of Revell's Creative Masters Z-28s that were dumped in some big box variety store ( I forgot the name ) and found an intact NIB Hugger Orange Camaro to add to my collection of CM Z-28s and Yenko 427s. It's such a dazzling color that I couldn't exist. Revell was way ahead of its time with its 1/20 line up of diecasts and it took well over a decade for the Mints to catch up. These were, by consensus, the definitive precision Camaro images for some time and as far as the scale goes, I have enough CMs to fill their own shelf so the mismatch was never an issue. The plumbed and wired engine bay and those gorgeous photo-etched badges and scripts as well as the fit, finish and parts count had quite the "WOW" factor 20 years ago.

Awesome photos pal! What a great era; and here's to a great friend and diecast guru - Roger Harney, the man behind the Creative Masters - may he rest in peace!
Impressive indeed. Revell did a fine job but your outstanding photography made it seem even more impressive.
Rich your putting these on a separate shelf was a great idea. I never bought these beautiful models because of their scale...duh.
love this model and appreciate you sharing... Thanks!
An excellent looking model. I never really considered adding one of these to my collection. Maybe I should have.
