Interesting. I checked mine, I have 118 from the 30's, and that's 11% of my fleet.

20's & 30's

Out of 512 1:24 scale diecasts, I only have 39 from the twenties and thirties, or 8%. The largest single car is my Corvettes, currently at 50.

Hi Dennis, I have 919 1:24 models.

Counting 1:43, 1:18 and other scales, I have about 1,500 models.

I'll kick in my two cents worth too. OK then, here we go.....

My prime interest is 1/24 scale models from FM & DM Mints. 1:1 cars produced prior to 1950 and bottoms out at 1930.

Also there are a handful of built kits in 1/24 & 1/25 scales with more unbuilt to still keep me busy in the hobby.

Also a small number of conversions and two or three resin bodies in 1/25 that I still need to raid the parts box to complete. I am almost done with DM & FM models because they have quite inconveniently done with you and me and all of us.

So its back to kits now and conversions until somebody produces more models in 1/24 in the decades that I'm interested in and that their pricing does not commit grievous bodily harm on my check account.

Total models: 63 - 1930's & 1940's and low 1950's.
Conversions: 5
Built Kits: 4
Kits and Resin bodies to build but not
included in the 63 total is: 8.
Conversions using DM & FM models: 3
Conversions using other 1/24 scale diecast models is 5

That's it for me.

I will need to give this some more thought, but I have a sneaking suspicion that you, Dennis have a liking for Corvettes. Land lubber Corvettes that is, not of course the seagoing Naval Corvettes.

Of my 260 cars, 48 are 1930's ... and 71 are 1950's....

18% are 1930's and 27% are 1950's..... Stands to reason, the 30's are the "classics" and the 50's were the "teen years".
