...make a '37 Delage in operational detail. Wired & plumbed motor, opening doors and hood, functional steering...Oh what could have been. Still - as a stationary curbside model, the image itself is commanding.

A beautifully designed 1/1 automobile. I have the model in 1/43 scale.

This one is still a beauty even without all the additional features.

Certainly a car design that was years ahead in styling.  Great pics!

Unfortunately not exactly accurate to the original car. The judges need to replace their glasses. Sorry to rain on the parade.

I have spent hours looking and comparing, I have tons of pictures of the original car, the fit and finish is superb, but the proportions and shapes have issues. Here is an old post for the interested:

@chav You're not 'raining on my parade'. I didn't design it, build it, or judge it. This was purely FYI.

Rich, I meant "rain on the parade" in general as the thread was in positive tone till my reply. I'm passionate about the car and was expecting a great model. Well, happiness is reality minus expectations. In this case with high expectations, happiness was a negative result. I am actually raining on my parade. My wallet was happy though, I never added the black very limited edition, and my Automodello purchases subsequently plummeted.
