Castbound self-described ladies man Gary Gritter, wasting time down at the Riverside Pool Hall while his ankle heals, spots pretty Miss Carleen Moon pull up in her father's company Cameo. While she is inside making a delivery, Gary, never missing an opportunity to impress a lady, grabs his ever present guitar, jumps up into the truck bed and is fully in his rendition of Blue Moon of Kentucky as she returns. Gary is further enthralled when Carleen smiles, places her cute little tush up on the fleetside and accompanies him with the most beautiful voice ever heard in the whole damn county. Gary is gobsmacked and immediately has visions of this new duo playing at the Grand Old Opry; thinking his ship has finally come in! Talent agent and avid fisherman Cy N. Ondaline and his partner Ty Bates happen to be drifting by when the magical sound of Carleen's voice resonates across the river. Cy excitedly orders Ty to row ashore so he can get a better look at this marvelous creature. Immediately seeing star potential, Cy nods knowingly to Ty who takes Gary aside and walks him away, animatedly complimenting him on his talent and showing him his card. Cy introduces himself to Carleen, shows her his expensive business card and lays his very best and well proven line on her. Cy promises the small town beauty the world will be hers if she shakes the "old guitar player" and lets him represent her and expose her raw talent to his wealthy record company associates. Carleen, desperate to be free from her boring rural life, loves what she is hearing and immediately agrees. Gary, chatting with Ty at the river, is surprised to see Carleen drive up in the Cameo with Cy and is stunned when Ty abruptly ends their conversation, joins them and they drive away. As the dust settles around him Gary hobbles back to his pool playing pals; cursing at the terrible week he is having; first he squashes Myrtle by showing off and now he gets dumped by his well deserved ticket to stardom and the Opry.

......Canteen is known for two things at Moonlight Parking.....assigning the single parking space,as needed....and her absolute reluctance to have anyone see her in her myopic vision eyeglasses.....despite what sounds like an acoustic guitar,Canteen has been assured,that her paramour, Gritty Gringo has made a special appearance to serenade her with his Banjo-of-Desire.......The tune does not ring a bell,but the references to the "wonnafull,wonnafull Lennon Sisters" fills her with an ominous dread

Very attractive Cameo, the colors are great. I'd be inclined to remove the graphics.....not that there's anything wrong with them!

I was on an Apache buying streak.....and then came this vision in yellow with the nostalgic speed shop livery.......sometimes just being a different color scheme is enough to trip the OOOOOO!!! response in the psyche.....this issue had the 70`s vibe thrown in for good measure
