The D4C is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.

Jay started it in 1994. I joined a year or so after that. I found an ad in a model car magazine and sent for his newsletter. He started a BB on AOL and that was the first real on-line car club. Boy, did that make a difference in the hobby.

BUT I forget when the Diecast.org D4C began. I'm thinking, also, it was around 1997.

Membership began ?

I can't remember when I first became a member. I let my membership lapse a couple of times (not on purpose) and to re-join, but just don't know the original sign-up date.

When I first started following, AOL was my provider and I was using a 28.8 modem. Remember the travelling t-shirt?

I'm thinking maybe four or five years, but I've been collecting over 16 years.

I remember that T-shirt. I think I was the 25th person to sign it.

10/11 years (I think) joined club before that, no pc, which

I thought I would never own. Lots of memory filled trips to Media.

I have all of the D4C LEs and the "Got Mint" tee shirt, so it has been a long time. I've been collecting since 1995, and it was only a short time after that I discovered the website and the club. I remember that the first page of the site was yellow then. So, maybe, since 1996 or '97?

Since I don't remember what I had for lunch yesterday, you're asking an awful lot!
