Unfortunately not in 1925. John Pemberton's original formula called for 5 oz of Coca leaf extract per gallon of syrup which would yield about 9 mg of cocaine per glass.... a nice little pick-me-up for women suffering from the 'vapors'. The 'secret ingredient' disappeared in 1903 and from then til now, coca leaf extract is still used with the cocaine removed. My mother used to send me to the corner drug store/soda fountain for a cup of syrup to cure diarrhea back in the '50s. I guess it worked.

I love this '25 Model T truck by Danbury Mint with its period livery and bright yellow striping and head light bezels.

Love the story Rich. So coke is not as refreshing as it once was?
