I'm a sucker for 'Hugger Orange" so my favorite Camaro Z28 is this Creative Masters model. This was Revell Creative Masters last iteration of this 30 year old tooling released in 2008 as their swan song. They seemed to have wholesaled them out to a big box store similar to Target. There was a ton of these dumped into a bin and most were opened and damaged. I dove deep into the bin and found a perfect example. The tooling was resurrected one more time for a limited and numbered run of Yenko SC 427s and they did a great job on the conversions. It's amazing to me in both how they hold up now and how far ahead of their time they were in 1995.
Absolutely beautiful models Rich. I'd loved to have any or all of those in 1/24. Do you know why they went with an odd scale? Just curious.🤔😊
Love them all....especially the green Yenko!
@geno To go bigger, bolder and better? I have no idea, but in 1995, 1/18 were mostly $25 toys sold in stores and the Mints were just starting to get their acts together. At that time, CM's Cobras, Mustangs, GT40s, Vipers and Camaros were to die for. In 1/24s, Jouef's Ferraris in 1/24 as well as their jewel box 1/43s were also state of the art. How did I deal with CMs being 1/20? I gave them their very own shelf. LOL
@rich-sufficool LOL,understood. They are sweet regardless. Like Jack said, especially the green Yenko.🤑💯
Beautiful models that i didn't buy because of their scale.
