to the World's Fair in Flushing Meadows, Queens, New York in a brand new Checker A10 Taxi Cab. The model is probably a 1963 as the 1964 models had to be equipped with lap belts. !964 wasn't a particularly good year for Checker as New York slapped it with an anti-trust suit. This is another fun model with George Bojaciuk's accessories and sense of humor.... the driver's ID tag names Raffi Minasian. Note the 1964 NY World's Fair license plates.
This is such a cool model. I am very happy to have one of these. Great photos.

Can you imagine pushing in that clutch pedal all day long in NYC traffic?
@bob-jackman Between the constant stop and go as well as idling, those Checkers wore out fast.
Very nice feature rich model. Glad I have this piece of New York history.
That is an outstanding model !
This is also one of my favorites. I like all the extra's that came with it so you could really display this nicely.
