One of the things I love about DM's 1941 Chevrolet Special Deluxe convertible is all the Deco streamliner inspired trim that made this car a 'special deluxe'. From the bumpers, grill surround, fender trim, side spears, to the metal dash insert, there's no plain metal anywhere. There are architectural elements incorporated into every trim piece. Post war '50s automobiles were certainly known for their over the top trim, but the pieces were featureless not 'sculpted' as this example exhibits.
One thing I found most unusual. Note the photo of the underside of the soft top... it has a dome light! It kinda makes me wonder how this was wired.

It was solar top!
Or maybe not. The metal hardware of the top was attached to the car, right?
