Coming in from the mailbox and opening the envelope containing this brochure, left me not only in awe, but breathless.  The '56 Lincoln long having been a car I admired, was captured in this brochure in a beauty I'd never imagined.  Each photo just popped off the page and the color on the car put an elegance to it, that I honestly don't think any other color could have.  Over the years here on the Forum, we've talked about cars having what we refer to as "WOW FACTOR!", and this brochure was offering me that euphoria even before I saw the actual model.  Of course after I got my breath back, I was on the phone ordering it.

When it arrived and seeing and holding the actual model, I was hearing the words in Herman's Hermit's song "Henry the Eighth", that went, "Second Verse Same as the First".  The awe and breathlessness that I felt when I'd laid my eyes on the brochure, were now repeated ten-fold.  This is simply a model that you have to see to believe.  DANBURY MINT captured the essence of luxury and elegance in Ford's "LINCOLN PREMIERE CONVERTILBE" it was intended to invoke.  Needless to say, if I'd not have added this car to my collection, I'd have been kicking myself daily.  It's a collectible in every sense of the word.  It just might well be, Danbury's best release ever in 1:24 scale.

Before the ad brochure came out, my dear friend, Rick Hanmore of The Danbury Mint, sent me an email with a prototype of the model in his hands. He had sent me one and wanted me to be sure of the color name - Wisteria. To be certain I would not forget it, the photo, of him and the car model, was taken while he was wearing a Wisteria-colored shirt!

I'm so happy to have this Wisteria beauty to pair with the Island Coral coupe. From the all-new Lincoln to the uniquely elegant Continental Mark II, it was a good year for FoMoCo fine cars.

@perrone, and as usual, your photography of this model is spot on to expressing it's beauty.  There is just no way to find even the tiniest fault with it.  And if one does, I'll respectfully say that they can't be pleased and should probably considering lowering their diecast standards a little.  I think this WISTERIA gem has to rank in the Top Five all-time best from Danbury Mint.

THANKS for the photos Tony!
