These 1:24 scale diecast CHEVY'S were out of this world FANTASTIC! When I first got this Flyer in the mail, I was most excited for the '61's and '62's as neither of the other mints gave us those models. The '62 has always been my Chevrolet of all-time, and knowing that there was a diecast of it was incredible news to my ears. When I received the actual models, I wasn't disappointed.

I wish WCPD had done a ‘63 Impala, it would have been another knockout.

I have these too George and they are lovely; HTs, convertibles, El Camino and sedan delivery. I was sad when they ceased production. I filled in the 63 slot with FM, which is quite well done.
The Chevrolet Impala models were all exceptional and I was looking forward to the '63 as well as the '59 wagons. With that, I couldn't resist these wonderful models, so I added a few to my collection.

The WCPM Chevys are a high water mark in any collection of American automobiles and Brian was a delight to talk with about his models.
I too, wish that WCPD would have given us a '63 Chevy Impala and I'd hoped for a '65 as well. And yes, Brian was a gem of guy and great to talk with. On two different occasions I spent over an hour with him on the phone. One of those conversations was his planning to do the 1957 Oldsmobile. I told him I was in for as many different colors as he would do. Alas, it wasn't to be.

I too have a number of WCPDs and agree they are wonderful models. What a tragedy for Brian. The man invests heavily in money time commitment and passion. Produced a great in demand product at market price and offered great service. What went wrong?

I talked several times on the phone to Brian as well and agree he was a great guy. I recall being very disappointed when his production ended; especially considering that the next one up was going to be the 59 Impala wagon.
George, these models were produced in China. I totally agree with you about the 1957 Oldsmobile Brian was planning...I too would have bought every color and every body style he would have made. In my many conversations with Brian, I got the feeling that in his quest to produce the perfect models that he perhaps put too much into the product which drove up the costs beyond what he felt he could sell them for.
