This Brochure was an exciting one! In the "Muscle Car" era I was gaga over Pontiac's incredible offerings that fed in to my "Muscle Car" fancy, and these six beauties wet my whistle to a tea. I can look at each one and say, "This one's my favorite". It's a moving target! Of the six cars featured, one that certainly is (I think) overlooked when choosing among DANBURY MINT'S most perfectly replicated models is the 1967 PONTIAC GTO COUPE! Man, it's a gorgeous creation!
PONTIAC MUSCLE CARS
If you love 1:24 scale diecast and you love Pontiac, these "Muscle Cars" are MUST HAVE'S!

I've never seen the '67 GTO on eBay. I'd love to add it to my Pontiac collection.
What's not to love with a Pontiac GTO? Great brochure George. I can't believe I didn't save one brochure but I sure did save the models.

I think the reason I saved all the Flyers and Brochures was because they remind of the great REAL car Brochures I used to collect from the Dealerships as a kid growing up. I think I've mentioned in past posts that each September/October when I was kid in the late Fifties and through the Sixties, my Dad would take me around to all the Dealerships to see the Brand New cars. I'd bring home the Brochures and I had them all until they were lost in a 1971 house fire that we suffered.
Though I never went back to actually collecting the Dealership Brochures again, when I found our little model cars, I liked having the Brochures that went along with them. I've never done anything with them until now, which is sharing them here on the Forum's in my "I'VE GOT MAIL" postings.
I'm glad they are being appreciated.

Another one that would o` gotten the better of my finances !!
How is it possible George, that, through all these years, there are NO accumulated drool marks on this brochure????
This era of GTO was just awesome. I think the first 3 years 64-66 are my favorites.

LOL, you know John, that's a good question. Maybe because I keep each Brochure in a sheet protector...so I just wipe the drool off of the protector.

Another nice one George. I definitely wanted all of these too. Unfortunately I only have 5 of them. The red Firebird has eluded me, or I have avoided it. LOL!
I tried to buy one when it was issued, and received three of them, each one had awful rash. I know many of our models develop rash over time, bur I sure didn't want to start out with one that is really bad. I bought one a few years later on eBay. It was the same. Luckily the seller offered a refund, which is what I got. I haven't looked for another one since.

You are right about the rash. Seems to affect some models more than others. The one thing I've learned to accept is that NOTHING in life is forever. So even though our little cars are supposed to be cherished collectibles, they like everything have a life span. I'm enjoying all my cars while I'm on the planet, and when I'm gone I figure that is their life span.
