After getting the outstanding and beautiful '48 Chrysler Town & Country Convertibles, I didn't think that DANBURY MINT could outdo their greatness. Opening my mail to uncover the brochure revealing this 1948 CHRYSLER NEW YORKER CONVERTIBLE in Champion Blue made me think otherwise. The call to DANBURY MINT was placed, the model was ordered. When the car arrived, it immediately became my favorite 1940s model. Nicely replicated, but DM forgot the keys!

A beauty. Believe or not, I somehow managed to miss getting this one when it was issued. I didn't waste any time adding the red version, but this one eluded for awhile. I finally came across one at a good price I could live with. I am very happy I did, I love the color.

@jcarnutz, glad you were able to land one. I too, have both color versions and they are knockouts!

It's a beauty. I prefer the New Yorker over the T&C.

Me too actually. I was never really impressed with a car that looked like a Cedar Chest.
But I do like the T & C's a lot.

@georgeschire, I'm OK with wood or wood looking material on a station wagon, but not on cars.

@sizedoesmatter, I'm okay with them too. But I'd never have bought a real car with wood, real or otherwise. Love the models though!
