When I plucked this Brochure out of the mail box, I was sold instantly on ordering this diecast. No brainer, as I like DeSoto's, I like Yellow, and I like Yellow with Black on Fifties cars. This is one of those 1:24 scale models that gets lost in the shuffle when great 1:24 scale models are discussed, and that's really too bad, because it is a great replica of a car that was a staple in the Fifties. And with the exception of a set of keys not included, this beautiful model has all the special amenities that we all loved on our diecast collectible cars. Top up or top down option, detailed engine, opening trunk with a spare tire for that unexpected flat, and an interior that smiles with comfort promised. I like this model!

Another amazing DeSoto from DM. The colors are perfect.

I have always liked this model with it's period correct colors. Nice writeup George.
I added this beauty within the past two years. I loved it when it came out but financially things were tight so I could only order select few models I really had to have. Of the DeSotos my favorite is the LE garnet Lavendar coupe, then this yellow convertible followed by the Black coupe with GOLD wheels lol. They made a reverse color LE convertible in a lavender/mauve with garnet insets on sides and I owned it but sold it several years after I got it. It was just drab looking and I hated the sombrero wheel covers too compared to the spokes on the reverse color coupe. I don’t miss it at all.
@perrone1, I've kept every Brochure that came to my mail box. Many feature cars that I didn't purchase if they were outside my collecting guidelines, but I still like having them.
For the ones that I did purchase, I like to add some personal feelings with regard to the model. Glad you are enjoying them!
