Franklin Mint released this 1967 yellow VW Beetle in 1992. Of course we thought it was really neat mainly because our expectations back in the day were relatively low compared to what would be expected in the coming decades. Damn... I feel OLD! Anyway, there were soon to be cries from the collective collectors of "When are you going to put glazing in the vent windows?!?!"
Got this one, too..30 years? WOW!

All things considered; it is still a nice model. I always wanted the yellow version; at the time I got the white one.
Great photos.

I too have the white version and while it captures the look shape and spirit of the 1:1 it greatly annoys me that FM was that cheap to omit vent pane glass on the majority of their models. For “precision models “ IMO this was not excusable !!!!!!! 😡
My "fix"
Some masking tape, "chrome" paint and a bit of
clear plastic for the vent window makes it look a little better.

When I wrote about cries from collectors, I was thinking of you. LOL
I have the yellow one as well as the black one which came with the two car display which included the white 98 new beetle.
